Director

Robert and Ani Duran,
Founders and Directors of the Cueva de Adulam Ministry

Robert Duran gave his life to the Lord at the age of 22, after being kicked

out of the Navy for drug abuse and trafficking in narcotics. Soon after, he

and Ani met in a street ministry known as Agape Force and were married

in 1975. After several years of ministry in the U.S. including a men's rehab

center in Houston, Tx they both felt a call to missions.

Together with 2yr old Rebekah, they moved to Mexico in 1979. They began in Matehuala, San Luis Potosi where they lived for 3yrs, and the vision was formed to plant churches in unchurched regions as well as train and disciple others to do the same.
In 1982 they moved to Zacatecas, and Fuerza Agape Churches were planted in that region during the 17 yrs that they ministered there. During their time in Zacatecas, a ministry opened up to an unreached people group called the Huichole Indians. For over 10 yrs many trips were made high up into the Sierra Madre Mountains to evangelize and establish a mission amongst this group.
In 1998, the Duran family, including including recently married Rebekah with her husband Tipo, Christie, Leah and Robert Jr. moved to Cuidad Juarez in the state of Chihuahua to become the directors of an intensive ministry training school called El Lagar. Over a period of 4 1/2 yrs over 1,000 students went through the program and many young people were launched out into full time ministry.

Today, Robert and Ani live in East Texas, and their vision to raise up and train leaders, and plant new churches continues through the Cueva de Adulam ministries. Their four children are actively involved in different aspects of this ministry. God has gifted Robert with a prophetic anointing as he travels throughout Mexico and the U.S. challenging and exhorting young people to an uncompromising commitment.
